I had the absolute joy of appearing on film talking about wedding table design trends 2018 recently with The International Academy of Wedding and Event Planning an international wedding industry training academy. With 3000+ students in campuses in Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, North America and the United Arab Emirates, students are offered courses in all aspects of wedding and event planning.
Kylie Carlson is founder and CEO and each year produces video tutorials to accompany the taught modules as well as a Wedding Trend Report highlighting the trends and predictions for the coming year. With a team of wedding professionals I headed to Chateau de la Borderie wedding venue in Charente one crisp winter morning to put together the footage for 2018.
I’ve been involved in quite a few photo shoots but this was a really special French wedding venue and what a fantastic team to work with.
Kylie Carlson is so inspiring and so knowledgable in how trends differ all over the world. I can only speak for what I know works well here in France. She kindly asked if I would go along for the filming day and talk about creating a moodboard and how to translate designs and ideas to a wedding table design. I was thrilled to take part!
Here are some photographs taken by Amanda Wilcox Yorkshire Wedding Photography at Cream Photography and the tutorials by wedding video producers Crosscut Media showing the day as it unfolded. As we were filming lots of different elements, I’ve included links for hair and makeup trends, floristry trends and the Wedding Trend Report itself in the relevant images – just click through to view!
