Bonjour to you, where are the weeks going? It all goes by in such a flash doesn’t it? In between travelling to Nantes to meet a Dr with an animal’s name, meeting a beautiful French children’s clothing shop owner, getting design ideas for a small kitchen and discovering the joy of collagen cream on my laughter lines, it’s all gone in a bit of a blur.
Here’s my fab five for the weekend. Have a good one! x
#1 Pompom Pillow Cases – Pure Hotel Luxe at Home
Did I tell you how much I love a pompom? I add them to everything – blinds, cushions, tops, even shower curtains these days, do I need help? My magpie-eye for all things frou frou led me to discover these beautiful pompom pillow cases from The White Company this week. Lovely aren’t they? If it’s not within budget to go the whole hog on new bedlinen, and let’s face it that can get pricy where a King Size is involved then these could add a nice little Hotel-luxe without smashing the budget too much.
#2 The Perfect Grey Wall Paint, Shaded White Farrow and Ball
Grey really is my absolute favourite colour as yoou know and this week I discovered a shade I love so much I am thinking about doing my new kitchen entirely in it. Farrow and Ball Shaded White has that lovely, cool period tone to it, a little bit of stone but not too much beige, parfait, n’est ce pas? My stylish Mum and Dad painted their hallway in it this week, ( they’re so cool ) and here’s some more inspo from the F&B website, I think it’s perfect for a French style home. #3 H&M Lovely Linen T-Shirts
Now the sun’s popping back from time to time I think a nice fitting Linen t-shirt is in order for casual Monday to Fridays don’t you? This is my current fave Linen t shirt from H&M for just £14.99, it’s got a dipped back too and a lovely round neck that’s just crying out for a chunky necklace and boyf jeans.
#4 Some Great Big Pants!
We were just having lunch yesterday amongst us girls and got onto the subject of knickers…like you do. There’s such a difference isn’t there between control pants and just good old Bridget Jones pants? I can’t be doing with cheesewire pants nor take-your-breath-away tummy control torture wear. I love a massive pair! If you do too, read on, these cover every inch of your derriere, if you don’t I’m sorry and au revoir!
#5 Eat Low Fat Frites, guilt free
I love French fries especially at the weekend but there is a fair old load of calories to consider. We don’t eat them all that often so I can’t quite justify this purchase but I am considering investing in one of these Tefal ActiFry Low Fat Healthy Fryer that use but a smidgen of oil to create divine tasting chips. Ever tried one?
Don’t miss Monday’s post, I will be trying out some delicious smelling Savon de Marseille by Marius Fabre, this French soap is literally AMAZING, don’t miss it xxx
