It goes without saying that lunch out warrants some pretty snappy dressing, even if it is just to the local café up the road. With the help of Mini Boden, we’re channeling vintage French – it’s all about the stripe!

Nautical knitwear…Ever a fan of a cotton striped knit, we’ve had so much wear out of this smart little striped boy’s sweater in Breton blue and white. He certainly turned heads today in it and it has a lovely three button detail on the neckline. This particular colour is no longer in stock but they’ve similar boys knitwear in the latest Mini Boden AW14 Collection in suitably trendy Autumn hues.

The Art of Autumn layering…

In this tricky transitional weather, Boden mamas go prepared. I just love this lovely boys motif T shirt for sunny spells and messy lunches. This is one of last season’s designs and was an Easter gift but it is perfect for layering up under a nice jumper for day. Ideal for a good run around the park to reward him for his good behaviour at lunch! From the new collection, we adore this gorgeous boiled egg t-shirt.

Quite suitably retro in these 1950’s surroundings wouldn’t you say? 

It all comes out in the wash…

We’ve washed mud, snail slime, ketchup, bolognaise, fruit juice and more out of Mini Boden boyswear. We’ve have even dyed this doggy T shirt bright pink once but it always comes clean and has stayed looking great all summer. Today’s challenge is creme brûlée!

What do we love most?

It’s dix points from us – and so much nicer than all those action figure tops around for boys. He fitted in like a local at the French café and the bright stripes go down a storm at playgroup.
